One of the key changes is a later departure time from J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping (19:30 instead of 15:00), allowing more late-evening freight to be moved by rail. The train reaches Oslo by 05:30 the following morning, supporting next-day delivery services in Norway.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Malm\u00f6\u2013J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping leg was covered by truck. Moving it to rail is expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 96% compared to road transport.<\/p>\n<p>Starting the route in Malm\u00f6 allows for integration with ferry and rail traffic from continental Europe, creating a direct intermodal link between J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping and European markets.
