The event was attended by Kazakhstan\u2019s Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev, Turkey\u2019s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uralo\u011flu, Azerbaijan\u2019s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov, and Georgia\u2019s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Gennady Arveladze.<\/p>\n<p>The participants emphasized the key role of the Middle Corridor in creating sustainable transport links between Europe and Asia. They discussed prospects for modernizing infrastructure, expanding trade, and enhancing the route\u2019s competitiveness amid growing demand for alternative logistics routes.<\/p>\n<p>Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol and an action plan to eliminate bottlenecks along the route, which calls for coordinated efforts by the railway administrations of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. In addition, the EBRD and Aktau International Sea Trade Port JSC signed an agreement to finance the modernization of port infrastructure and the acquisition of STS cranes.
