In Antwerp-Bruges, volumes decreased by 4.3% to 137.2 million tons, in Rotterdam \u2013 by 4.1% to 211 million tons.<\/p>\n<p>Against this background, the container segment is showing growth. In Antwerp, container handling increased by 3.6% to 6.91 million TEU (+3.7%), and in Rotterdam \u2013 by 2.7% to 7 million TEU, despite a decrease in volumes by 1%.<\/p>\n<p>Hamburg became the leader in terms of growth rates: in six months, the port handled 4.2 million TEU, which is 9.3% more than a year earlier.
