The total value of the project is approximately \u20ac450 million, with Alstom\u2019s share being approximately 25%. The project aims to increase capacity, energy efficiency and reliability of the connection.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was concluded by the Asocierea RailWorks consortium, created by Alstom and the Romanian company Arcada, with the state-owned operator CFR SA. Over the course of 36 months, 93.45 km of the line connecting Bucharest-Pivnic, Jilava, Giurgiu-Pivnic and the Giurgiu border station will be modernized.<\/p>\n<p>Alstom will implement the ERTMS level 2 system, digital train control and electrification, including the installation of the overhead line.
