Valdo Kalm, head of the Port of Tallinn, added that the new terminal will strengthen Estonia\u2019s position as an important logistics hub connecting Northern and Southern Europe and offer more sustainable transportation options.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes the construction of a 1,435 mm gauge track, as well as the renovation of the existing infrastructure, including roads, utility networks and a 1,520 mm line. The Rail Baltica control centre and depot building will be designed in the area of \u200b\u200bthe cargo terminal. As AllSpark board member Erki Kimber noted, participation in this project is an important step for the local engineering industry and an opportunity to implement the most modern and effective solutions.
