The increase in profit was driven by a 4.8% increase in the number of vessel calls and insurance compensation for the leased icebreaker Botnica.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a 3.6% decrease in passenger traffic and a slight decrease in cargo turnover of 0.7%, the company\u2019s revenue increased by 1.5% to EUR 28.3 million. Profit increased by 3.1% compared to the first quarter of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by Valdo Kalm, Chairman of the Management Board of the Port, the positive financial result was made possible by stable vessel calls and a successful resolution of an insurance claim, which made it possible to compensate for the decrease in volumes and maintain positive dynamics.<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the first quarter of 2025, the Port of Tallinn earned a net profit of EUR 6.8 million, which is 31% more than in the same period last year.
