The total value of the agreements is \u20ac726 million, and taking into account the options for the purchase of strategic materials, it may reach \u20ac932 million. The first alliance (GRK Suomi Oy, GRK Eesti AS, Merko Ehitus Eesti and others) will be engaged in the superstructure and substructure of the \u00dclemiste\u2013P\u00e4rnu and Tooci\u2013P\u00e4rnu sections, for a total of \u20ac394 million. The second alliance, led by Bouygues Travaux Publics, will design and build the P\u00e4rnu\u2013Ikla section for \u20ac332 million. Over the next year, the parties will finalise the design solutions, prepare work schedules and begin active construction.<\/p>\n<p>The head of Rail Baltic Estonia, Anvar Salomets, emphasised that the project is entering a turning point, while Estonian Infrastructure Minister Kuldar Leis called Rail Baltica \u201ca key investment in the country\u2019s security and economy\u201d.
