The vessel is heading from China to Europe and is the first in a series of 14 similar vessels, the construction of which was financed as part of a $1.4 billion investment program.<\/p>\n<p>Anji Ansheng was built at the China Merchants Jinling shipyard and is 228 meters long, 37.8 meters wide and has a draft of up to 7.8 meters. In the future, the vessel is planned to be converted to environmentally friendly fuel \u2013 methanol, which is in line with the company\u2019s commitment to sustainable shipping.<\/p>\n<p>SAIC Group\u2019s fleet already includes 35 vessels used to transport cars on routes to Western Europe, the Mediterranean, Mexico, South America, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
