The first train carrying a batch of polyester granules crossed the border at Khorgos and headed to Tashkent, covering a distance of 4,700 kilometers in about 12 days.<\/p>\n<p>Trains on the new route will depart twice a month. Senior engineer Xu Meiqiong emphasized that the service will ensure accelerated customs clearance, timely delivery and a reduction in overall logistics costs, which will strengthen trade ties between the western regions of China and Central Asian countries.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of the route is expected to reduce the delivery time of goods from Chongqing to Central Asia by more than 30%, increasing the efficiency of trade and logistics in the region.<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Regular rail freight services have begun between Chongqing, a major metropolis in southwestern China, and Central Asia.
