This is the first decline in 19 months, despite a downward trend that has continued since July 2024. At the same time, global cargo capacity fell by 0.4%, although it increased by 1.1% on international routes. <\/p>\n<p>Asia-Pacific retained its lead, accounting for 34.2% of global air cargo turnover, increasing traffic by 5.1% and increasing cargo capacity by 2.7% compared to February 2024. North America took second place with a share of 25.8%, but it recorded a decrease in both cargo (-0.4%) and capacity (-3.5%). Europe, which controls 21.5% of the market, showed the smallest decline \u2013 0.1% in terms of traffic volume and 0.2% in terms of capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Latin America showed the greatest growth: here, cargo traffic grew by 6% with an increase in cargo capacity of 7.6% year-on-year, despite a relatively small share of the global market (2.9%).<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), global civil air cargo volumes fell by 0.1% in February 2025 compared to February last year.
