The company has upgraded the facility to run entirely on renewable energy and introduce cutting-edge environmental technology. This includes one of Europe\u2019s largest green noise barriers, reducing noise and pollution while also creating a habitat for wildlife.<\/p>\n<p>Another major step has been the move away from diesel, with all DB Cargo UK equipment at the terminal now running on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). This has reduced Scope 1 emissions by 98 tonnes of CO\u2082 per year. In addition, the company has introduced new fuel-efficient machinery and installed a water-efficient system, including a state-of-the-art wheel wash facility.<\/p>\n<p>According to DB Cargo UK\u2019s sustainability manager, Stacey Scullion, Cricklewood has become a model for sustainable logistics.
