Commissioning of T3 by the end of 2025 will allow Baltic Hub to significantly increase its capacity to handle the largest container ships in the world and strengthen its position as the leading container hub in the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1160\" height=\"869\" src=\"https:\/\/gruzingeo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1-1-1160x869-1.jpg\" alt=\"Baltic Hub received new crane installations for terminal expansion.\" class=\"wp-image-11620\" title=\"Sea Baltic Hub received new crane installations for terminal expansion.\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Baltic Hub<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The new STS cranes are among the most modern in Europe. They are 96 metres high (140 metres with the boom raised) and have a reach of 74 metres, allowing them to handle container ships up to 26 rows wide. They are capable of lifting containers weighing up to 65 tonnes to a height of 55 metres. In addition to the STS, T3 will also feature 20 aRMG automated rail-mounted cranes to speed up container handling and improve safety. These fully electric cranes run on renewable energy and are remotely controlled, improving the working conditions of operators.<\/p>\n<p>The Baltic Hub expansion includes a 717-metre-long, 17.5-metre-deep berth, which will accommodate the largest container ships.
