Exports amounted to 55.8 million tons, and the volume of domestic transportation increased by 1.2% compared to the same period last year and reached 109.7 million tons.<\/p>\n<p>The main volume of cargo was coal \u2013 63.2 million tons, of which 45.4 million tons were delivered to thermal power plants and the population within the country. Grain transportation increased by 11.3%, reaching 1.5 million tons in the republic, and the total volume of grain transportation amounted to 5.7 million tons.<\/p>\n<p>Other cargo categories also showed growth: loading of oil cargo increased by 3.2% to 12.7 million tons, ferrous metals by 3.8% to 2.9 million tons, iron ore and manganese by 4.7% to 14.2 million tons, and non-ferrous ore and sulfur raw materials by 10.6% to 16.4 million tons.<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In January-August 2024, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy transported more than 165.5 million tons of cargo.
