This modern inland terminal, the largest in Europe, marks a turning point in the port\u2019s 300-year history.<\/p>\n<p>The DGT is more than just a new terminal; it is a model for the future of logistics. The terminal\u2019s operations are fully digitalized and it is committed to sustainability. The \u201cenerPort II\u201d project, a collaboration between industry and academia, aims to make the DGT completely climate-neutral. By integrating renewable energies, energy storage technologies and hydrogen technology, the terminal will generate its own heat and electricity, thereby reducing its environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p>Leading companies and research institutes such as Westenergie Netzservice GmbH, Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG, Netze Duisburg GmbH, Stadtwerke Duisburg AG and Stadtwerke Duisburg Energiehandel GmbH are participating in the enerPort II project.
