As part of the long-term investment strategy, the project focused on the Przemys\u0142owe Quay area, bringing improvements to land-side communication, optimizing cargo handling, and facilitating the commercialization of new investment zones. The comprehensive initiative involved the reconstruction of road and rail systems, spanning Przemys\u0142owe Quay to Ku Uj\u015bcie street and Chemik\u00f3w street to the ferry crossing along Bosma\u0144ska street through the Kaszubski Canal.<\/p>\n<p>The recently concluded project, titled \u2018Extension and Modernisation of the Core Network Node,\u2019 included the upgrade of 1.6 km of roads and approximately 6 km of tracks, all constructed using advanced cement concrete technology. Beyond road and rail enhancements, the endeavor featured the reconstruction of water, sanitary, electricity, and teletechnical networks, along with the creation of stormwater drainage systems and street lighting. With the completion of this initiative, Kamil Tarczewski, Vice-President of the Port of Gda\u0144sk, acknowledged it as the concluding phase of the largest investment program since 2016, co-financed by EU funds.<\/p>\n<p>While marking a significant milestone, this accomplishment signals ongoing commitment, as the Inner Port looks ahead to the \u2018Improving Access to the Port of Gda\u0144sk \u2013 Modernisation of Fairway 2\u2019 project. Securing funding for this venture, the Inner Port anticipates expanding four quays with a combined length of nearly 2 km, along with upgrading rail infrastructure. Notably, the Wi\u015blane and Bytomskie quays align with the port channel, while the Rudowe III and partially the W\u0119glowe quays are situated in the G\u00f3rniczy basin.
