The grand opening was attended by representatives of the Italian and Belgian governments, company management, and key partners, underscoring the project\u2019s strategic importance.<\/p>\n<p>The Mainhub terminal is one of Europe\u2019s most important logistics hubs: 200,000 m\u00b2 of space, eight 700-meter tracks, three gantry cranes, six shuttle carriers, and a capacity of up to 200,000 containers per year. Modalink will optimize operations and expand intermodal capacity, strengthening the key north-south corridor from Belgium to Italy. Five weekly services between Antwerp and Milan will take over 13,000 trucks off the road annually, avoiding over 46,000 tonnes of CO\u2082 emissions, and will also provide connections to the terminals of Pomezia, Marcianise, and Catania.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership combines FS Logistix\u2019s expertise in terminal operations with Lineas\u2019s experience in haulage and operational services.
