It includes multimodal round trips of clinker and granulated blast-furnace slag using the MOBILER system, with shipments moving between the company\u2019s locations in Wietersdorf (Carinthia) and Peggau (Styria).<\/p>\n<p>Over time, the volume of traffic moved by rail has increased, including shorter-distance shifts from road to rail. Current operations include single wagonload deliveries to Italy and inbound deliveries from Austrian suppliers to Wietersdorf, using the TransFER Villach\u2013Italy route.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of the Koralm Railway has changed the structure of Alpacem\u2019s rail transport, offering a new link along the Baltic\u2013Adriatic Corridor. It opens further procurement and distribution options, adding capacity and route flexibility for cross-border logistics.<\/p>\n<p>Alpacem operates in the cement, concrete and raw material sectors, supplying the construction industry from eight locations in southern Austria.
