The equipment is already undergoing commissioning and technical testing, and is scheduled to enter full operation before the end of this year.<\/p>\n<p>The new cranes, manufactured by the Chinese company ZPMC, are the latest generation of super post-Panamax cranes. They were tailored to AGCT\u2019s specific operational requirements, including special lifting capacity parameters. With a boom outreach of 67.5 meters, the terminal can handle the largest container ships currently in service worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>According to AGCT CEO Emmanuel Papagiannakis, the delivery and installation of the new cranes marks the first important step in the terminal\u2019s long-term modernization program.
