The terminal strengthens barge connections between Jurong Island and PSA\u2019s mainland facilities in Tuas, Pasir Panjang, and Bran, ensuring seamless multimodal transport.<\/p>\n<p>Seow Hwee, Head of Port Ecosystem Business at PSA Southeast Asia, emphasized that the record performance was the result of close collaboration with JTC, customers, and port ecosystem participants. He noted that JIT plays a key role in enhancing supply chain resilience by ensuring reliable barge connections, safe handling of specialized cargo, and more efficient logistics flows for the energy and chemical industries.<\/p>\n<p>JTC noted that the development of the barge model helps reduce dependence on road transport, lower carbon emissions, and relieve pressure on land-based infrastructure.
