The company is building a new carbon-neutral logistics center in the Wolbersacker Industrial Park in Rheinbach. The approximately 26,600 square meter complex will include modern warehousing and transhipment facilities, and is scheduled to open in August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>As Katrin H\u00f6lter, CEO of DHL Supply Chain Germany &amp; Alps, noted, the project is being implemented in response to the growing demand for flexible and efficient logistics space. The new center will enable companies to deliver goods faster to domestic and European markets, increasing supply chain resilience and reducing the risk of disruptions. The facility will also create additional opportunities for various industries, from traditional warehousing to e-commerce fulfillment and automated logistics solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The logistics complex will be built to the \u201cGold\u201d standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and equipped with modern energy-efficient technologies, including a 1 MW solar power plant, battery storage, heat pumps, and energy-saving LED lighting.
