Group revenue increased by 9.9% to \u20ac1.76 billion, while operating profit (EBIT) increased by 19.5% to \u20ac160.5 million. Container throughput reached 6.295 million TEU (up 5.4%), while intermodal throughput reached 1.982 million TEU (up 10.9%). Net profit, however, decreased to \u20ac9.8 million due to one-time tax effects.<\/p>\n<p>In the port logistics segment, container throughput in Hamburg increased by 4.8% to 5.956 million TEU. The decline in traffic from North America was offset by growth in traffic from the Far East, primarily China, as well as from South America, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East. Due to changes in shipping routes amid the conflict in the Red Sea, cargo flows to European ports increased, particularly from the UK, Belgium, Spain, and the Netherlands. HHLA\u2019s international terminals also demonstrated significant growth, up 19.2%, in part due to the partial resumption of operations at the Odesa terminal from the third quarter of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The intermodal segment demonstrated even more pronounced growth: rail traffic grew by 11.2%, road traffic by 8.7%, and revenue for this segment increased by 12% to \u20ac797 million. For 2026, HHLA forecasts significant growth in container throughput and revenue, expecting EBIT of \u20ac175\u2013195 million for the group.
