Fieldwork is scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The tender represents the largest archaeological contract to date within the rail component of the CPK programme. It follows a framework agreement signed in October 2024 covering archaeological services for ongoing rail projects.<\/p>\n<p>To accelerate delivery, the contract has been split into two lots, allowing parallel work across different sections of the line. Each bidder submitted an offer for one lot, with price as the sole evaluation criterion. Most bids are reported to be below the investor\u2019s initial cost estimate.<\/p>\n<p>The selected contractor will carry out full archaeological investigations, including field surveys, excavations, documentation, and securing the required heritage permits.
