The average global airfreight rate increased 6% in a week to $2.40 per kg, while spot rates rose 10%. According to Freightos FAX terminal data, the pressure on the South Asia-Europe market has been even more pronounced: in nine days, rates rose from $2.57 to $4.37 per kg, an increase of approximately 70%. Similar dynamics were observed on the Southeast Asia-Europe route, where prices rose from $3.14 to $4.46 per kg.<\/p>\n<p>Forwarders note that the effects of the crisis are already extending beyond the region and affecting the global air freight network, as cargo is being forced to reroute along alternative routes. Customers are advised to plan shipments 7-10 days in advance, taking into account schedule instability and capacity shortages.
