The number of freight trains on China-Europe routes increased by 32% during this period, reaching 3,501 trips.<\/p>\n<p>According to Urumqi Bureau Group, a regional subsidiary of China Railway, by March 5, 2026, an increase of 21,498 freight trains had passed through the Alashankou land port in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on China-Europe and China-Central Asia routes compared to previous periods.<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported by the Chinese newspaper Global Times, as of June 2025, 128 Chinese cities have been included as origin and destination points of trains in the official China-Europe route network, which continues to support the expansion of land logistics between China and Europe.<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In January-February 2026, container rail traffic between China and the EU reached 352,000 TEU, a 25% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
