This growth was driven by strong shipments ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday and a recovery in traffic after a seasonal decline in late 2025. The international segment continued to outperform the overall market, with cross-border traffic volumes increasing by 11.6%, driven by robust demand on long-haul routes.<\/p>\n<p>The regional picture remains mixed. The highest growth was recorded in Africa (+21%), with Asia-Pacific (+13.6%) and the Middle East (+16.5%) also having a significant impact. Growth in North America and Europe was more moderate, at 9.4% and 6.9%, respectively, while Latin America saw only a +0.7% increase. Positive momentum continues on key international routes: Europe\u2013Asia grew by 13.1% for the eighth consecutive month, Asia\u2013North America grew by 9.1% after a decline in January, Middle East\u2013Asia by 24%, and Africa\u2013Asia by 61.9%.<\/p>\n<p>Cargo capacity supply increased by 8.5% year-on-year, lagging behind demand growth and supporting the load factor, which rose by 1.1 percentage points to 46%. Positive rate dynamics were an additional factor: in February, they rose by 6.6% for the first time in 11 months, marking the strongest February growth in four years. However, IATA notes that the war in the Middle East that began in late February, as well as rising prices, fuel shortages, and disruptions at Persian Gulf cargo hubs, complicate forecasting future market trends.
