The agreement also aims to streamline trade procedures, accelerate and improve the reliability of cargo transit through the port, foster partnerships with reputable operators, and prevent illicit activities.<\/p>\n<p>The signing of the memorandum is intended to boost the competitiveness of the transport route through Rijeka, as well as to safeguard the market and financial interests of Croatia and the European Union.
