The route facilitates the transport of containers and semi-trailers up to 4 meters in height, utilizing two pairs of trains per week; this initiative reinforces the northern freight corridor between Poland and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>Concurrently, the operator Baltic Rail \u2013 a member of the Rail World Group \u2013 has inaugurated a new multimodal route linking the Croatian Port of Rijeka with terminals in the Polish cities of Wroc\u0142aw and Katowice, as well as a terminal in Paskov (Czech Republic), situated near the Polish border. This line serves as an alternative to the traditional route via the Slovenian Port of Koper; it operates one to two pairs of trains weekly and aims to facilitate the redistribution of freight flows within the Central European region.<\/p>\n<p>According to operators, multimodal transport in Poland continues to demonstrate steady growth: in 2025, the volume of such transport increased by 2.6%, while freight turnover rose by 2.8% compared to the previous year.
