The transaction aims to enhance freight transport capabilities for customers moving cargo between mainland Europe, Ireland, and the UK by leveraging an expanded route network and increased sailing frequencies. Following regulatory approval, the company plans to integrate these new destinations and boost the flexibility of its logistics chains.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, CLdN operates 24 direct sailings per week between Ireland (Dublin and Cork) and mainland European ports (Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, and Santander). Upon the closing of the deal, the company will add container connections to Waterford and Belfast, as well as increase sailing frequencies to Dublin and Cork. Concurrently, CLdN is advancing a strategy to combine RoRo and LoLo services and is preparing for the 2027 launch of new, company-built container vessels with a capacity of 1,100 TEU and an energy-efficient design, which will complement its existing fleet of over 30 RoRo vessels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the transaction, approximately 5,000 45ft pallet-wide containers will also be transferred, along with a substantial fleet of 20ft and 40ft flat racks, and 45ft reefer units.
