Following the negotiations, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that combining the transport potential of the two countries would enable the opening of new export routes and strengthen trade ties between Central Asia and Africa. The parties paid particular attention to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and its integration with key maritime corridors in East Africa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kazakhstan views Kenya as a strategic logistics hub for gaining access to African markets. In turn, William Ruto proposed utilizing Nairobi as a base for the operations of Kazakhstani companies on the continent, and the ports of Mombasa and Lamu as primary logistics hubs for accessing the markets of East and Central Africa. According to the Kenyan President, his country is ready to serve as a vital link between Kazakhstan and the African region, while Nairobi views Kazakhstan as a key gateway to Central Asia and Eurasia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the priority areas of cooperation will be the launch of air cargo services between the two countries to facilitate the export of Kazakhstani agricultural products \u2013 including grain \u2013 to the African market. Looking ahead, the possibility of establishing direct passenger air links between Astana and Nairobi is also under discussion. Furthermore, the parties intend to establish a \u201cKazakhstan\u2013Kenya\u201d Business Council and an expert working group dedicated to the development of transport and logistics infrastructure.
