These funds will be directed toward modernizing the infrastructure of Lithuania\u2019s largest port, including enhancing navigational safety, increasing throughput capacity, developing passenger facilities, and implementing eco-friendly technologies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program entails updating navigational infrastructure and access routes, modernizing the Port Authority\u2019s assets, constructing new facilities for passenger and cruise operations, and installing shore-to-ship power supply systems. Furthermore, the port will host Lithuania\u2019s first green hydrogen production and refueling center. The project also provides for the modernization of radar systems, the strengthening of cybersecurity, and the development of solutions to enhance the port\u2019s operational resilience. The total investment is estimated at approximately \u20ac111 million, with about 45% of the funds allocated to the development of the cruise terminal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Port Authority officials note that implementing this program will enable the port to accommodate larger vessels, increase cargo handling volumes, and expand its scope of operations \u2013 including supporting offshore wind and green energy projects.
