The company\u2019s total revenue amounted to $13.23 billion, a decrease of 0.2% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, EBITDA declined by 31.6% to $2.11 billion, and the net result shifted from a profit of $1.12 billion a year earlier to a loss of $250 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The maritime shipping segment exerted the primary pressure on these results: revenue fell by 8.5% to $8.02 billion, and EBITDA dropped by 41.3% to $1.49 billion, despite a 1.5% increase in shipping volumes to 5.93 million TEU. The company explains that this decline is attributable to lower freight rates compared to the previous year. The logistics division also posted revenue growth of 6.6% to $4.56 billion; however, its EBITDA fell by 28.3% against a backdrop of deteriorating market conditions and challenges within the automotive industry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The only segment to demonstrate significant growth was CMA CGM\u2019s \u201cother business activities\u201d division, where revenue surged by 59.1% to $1.3 billion, and EBITDA rose by 90% to $294 million.
