The Kazakhstan transport delegation, headed by representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ports, logistics and investment companies, held a series of working meetings in Athens, focusing on the development of the Trans-Caspian route and its integration with the infrastructure of Greek ports. During the round table with the Federation of Hellenic Enterprises (SEV), projects for the modernization of Kazakhstani ports were presented and mechanisms for attracting foreign investment were proposed.

Of particular interest to Greece were the ideas of creating joint multimodal services and integrating the Caspian Sea – Black Sea – Mediterranean route into European transport networks, including the EU Global Gateway initiative. The Kazakhstan delegation also held talks with the shipping groups Navios and Tsakos, and in Piraeus got acquainted with the capabilities of the ONEX Group shipyards and the environmental projects of the POLYECO company.
According to Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Railway and Water Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym Tlepov, the development of TMTM is a strategic step to diversify Kazakhstan’s export logistics. He emphasized the willingness to create favorable conditions for investors. The visit resulted in the strengthening of institutional ties and the launch of a dialogue aimed at developing logistics, shipping and sustainable supply chains between Kazakhstan and Greece.
