Kazakhstan increased cargo transportation volumes by more than 10% in six months.

From January to June 2025, 550.7 million tons of cargo were transported in Kazakhstan, which is 10.9% or 54.1 million tons more than in the same period last year. This was reported by the Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev.

The highest growth was recorded in rail and pipeline transportation – by 12.4% and 18.2%, respectively. Despite the lack of exact figures by type of transport, these areas became the main drivers of the increase in logistics volumes.

The motor transport sector also showed slight but stable growth, adding 1.8%. Positive dynamics are also observed in passenger transportation: since the beginning of the year, 928 million people have used transport services, which is 10.5% more than in 2024.
