Five major projects worth 2.3 trillion tenge are being implemented in the railway sector: the construction of second tracks on the Dostyk-Moiynty section, a bypass road for Almaty station, the Darbaza-Maktaaral, Kyzylzhar-Moiynty and Bakhty-Ayagoz lines. Some sections are already ahead of schedule, and the first stages are expected to be completed in the coming months. By 2029, it is planned to renew 11 thousand km of railways, including 1,480 km next year, as well as complete the reconstruction of 125 railway stations.

In the water sector, dredging operations will begin in the Aktau port in July. In addition, in 2025, Kazakhstan intends to replenish its merchant fleet with eight vessels – six dry cargo ships and two ferries. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of a systematic approach and instructed the Ministry of Transport, Samruk-Kazyna and other departments to ensure the timely implementation of all projects.
