Kazakh President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev signed three laws expanding cooperation with China in the transport sector. New laws include the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of China on the Development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, an agreement on the development of this route for China-Europe container trains and an agreement on international road transport. The documents provide for granting Kazakh trucks permission to enter deep into Chinese territory, and Chinese trucks – deep into Kazakhstan.
These agreements are aimed at the efficient use of road, rail and sea transport, the creation of favorable conditions for the transportation of goods and the development of logistics centers in both countries to increase transit volumes along the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
