Kazakhstan became the first CIS country to sign an agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and join the ACT-SAF program. The initiative aims to help achieve the goal of net zero emissions from international flights by 2050.
The agreement was signed by the Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Talgat Lastaev, and the Regional Director of the ICAO European/North Atlantic Bureau, Nicolas Rallo, marking the beginning of active cooperation in the development of an environmentally sustainable aviation sector.
