KTLF24: Multimodal transportation: services for cargo owners, reserves for improving the quality of service, complex solutions in logistics

Rauan Pirmanov, Managing Director of Nur Zhol Company, devoted his report to multimodal transportation and services for cargo owners. He reviewed operational activities, reserves for improving the quality of customer service and comprehensive solutions in logistics.

According to Rauan Pirmanov, multimodal transportation covers two or more modes of transport, providing flexible door-to-door delivery, which increases efficiency and reduces costs. By using different modes of transport, multimodal transport offers more solutions for customers.

Rauan also briefly explained the concept and essence of Party Logistics. Among the varieties there are five main ones:

  • 1PL is, accordingly, the manufacturer himself, that is, conditionally, a farmer who sells certain products to the store.
  • 2PL is a courier, respectively, between the manufacturer and the consumer.
  • 3PL is fulfillment, logistics with storage, packaging, delivery services, that is, a certain specialized company.
  • 4PL is already a contracting company or a joint venture with the cargo owner, who is responsible for most of the client’s business processes, with a high degree of involvement in them.
  • 5PL are operators that provide a full range of services: planning chains, storing goods and delivering them to the end consumer.

The NurZholCompany company is not only a manufacturer and courier, but also fulfillment elements, a contractor company and has its own marketplace. They recently launched their own platform, creating a small marketplace among their clients, which is operating successfully.

“Our company is actively implementing projects on multimodal transportation, including various types of cargo and directions. We successfully transport cosmetics from Australia, cargo from Astana to Greece, and also regularly deliver dietary supplements and oils from Sri Lanka. Previously, we used various routes and modes of transport, but today our logistics have changed a little,” noted Rauan Pirmanov.

The representative of NurZholCompany also spoke about the importance of quality service in various market conditions. In a scarce market where capacity is limited, they ensure quality through the provision of wagons or containers, space on the ship and adherence to delivery schedules. In such an environment, price typically becomes less of a factor and the focus is on key business processes such as asset procurement and infrastructure construction.

In a surplus market, on the contrary, the quality of service is ensured by providing a favorable price and minimal client involvement in the transportation process. NurZholCompany offers services such as tracking, information and control of transportation, ensuring effective interaction with the client and creating an emotional connection, and also pays special attention to providing comprehensive solutions to ensure high quality service regardless of market conditions.
