Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company JSC and KazMunayGas National Company JSC, in compliance with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s order to digitalize petroleum product circulation, have implemented a mechanism for the operational exchange of information. This joint solution aims to create a transparent and continuous system for monitoring the movement of petroleum product railcars within the country, as well as monitoring their import volumes.
According to the KTZ press service, the company’s Main Computing Center has implemented an alternative technical solution for transmitting data from the railway operator’s information systems. The technology used ensures a high level of confidentiality, integrity, and stability of information exchange between the parties.
Currently, KazMunayGas receives real-time data, including hourly information on the location of petroleum product railcars within Kazakhstan and daily information on their import volumes. KTZ and KMG have agreed on the uninterrupted provision of data, which will improve the efficiency of the country’s fuel balance management.
