KTZ and ÖBB discussed joint logistics projects and the development of the Trans-Caspian route.

JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy held a working meeting with the Chairman of the Board of ÖBB-Holding AG (Austrian Federal Railways) Andreas Matta. During the visit of the Austrian delegation, KTZ presented the key areas of its activities – from digitalization of the railway industry to large-scale development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

Particular attention was paid to the importance of TITR as a promising alternative to traditional logistics routes between Asia and Europe. The parties noted its growing role in global supply chains and emphasized the importance of investing in infrastructure to increase the speed and reliability of delivery. The Kazakh side also spoke about the development of its own and foreign terminal network to provide comprehensive logistics services.

Following the meeting, KTZ and ÖBB confirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation in the field of logistics. The implementation of joint projects will strengthen Kazakhstan’s transit potential and expand its capabilities as a key transport hub in Eurasia.
