The National Railway Company of Kazakhstan (KTZ) is actively participating in the Digital Bridge forum, a traditional event held in the capital for the past three years. The panel session on “AI and Logistics” explores key aspects of digitization, including the automation of train movement planning, optimization of operations across the mainline network, and other digital solutions.
Leaders from the global transportation, logistics, and digital sectors, such as Huawei Kazakhstan’s CEO Zhao Xuy, Global DTC Pte’s CEO Vitan Yung, Abu Dhabi Ports Group’s Director of Digital and Intelligent Solutions Mohammed Al Aga, and Wabtec Corporation’s Vice President of Digitization Scott Horning, presented their projects and shared insights at the event.
Special attention was given to the implementation of Wabtec’s digital systems at KTZ, aimed at enhancing transportation efficiency. Projects involve equipping the freight locomotive fleet of the TE33A series with Wabtec’s digital system, the “Trip Optimizer,” contributing to optimizing locomotive control and increasing the efficiency of freight transportation.
