In January 2025, Akmola railway workers transported 696.7 thousand tons of cargo, of which 512.8 thousand tons were grain (7,478 cars). 94.1 thousand tons (1,408 cars) were sent to the domestic market, and 418.6 thousand tons (6,070 cars) were exported. The main delivery destinations were the countries of Central Asia, China and the port of Aktau.
To speed up exports, 5 grain shipping routes were organized in January, including 20 container routes (1,228 containers). In 2024, 7.2 million tons of cargo passed through the Akmola freight transportation department, including grain, flour, cyanide and other goods. Transportation is carried out by electric locomotives (96% of the volume) and diesel locomotives on certain sections.
