JSC KTZ Express is launching a large-scale project to build six modern sea vessels that will form the basis for developing the national container fleet and increasing the capacity of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). The new vessels will be adapted to the specific features of the Caspian Sea and inland waterways, which will ensure predictability of transit times and stability of multimodal transportation.

The project envisages the construction of vessels with a capacity of 450 to 520 TEU and a deadweight of up to 9 thousand tons. Their design is designed to operate both in marine conditions with a draft of 4.7 m and on shallow rivers with a draft of 3.6 m. The speed will be 10-12 knots. For reliability, it is planned to equip them with engines and generators from leading manufacturers from Europe, the USA, Japan and South Korea.

The future vessels will comply with the requirements of IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL and STCW, as well as Bureau Veritas, RINA and ABS standards. They will be equipped with modern navigation systems and technologies to reduce environmental impact. In the near future, KTZ Express will announce a tender for construction and invite suppliers to submit commercial proposals.
