KTZ increased loading volume by 4.4% in the first quarter of 2025.

According to the results of January-March 2025, the volume of loading on the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy network amounted to 64.2 million tons, which is 4.4% more than in the same period last year. Domestic transportation reached 41 million tons, and exports grew by 12%, amounting to 23.2 million tons.

The key cargoes remain coal (26.7 million tons, +1.4%), of which 7.5 million tons were exported (+16.2%), as well as grain – its loading increased by 48.7% over the quarter, reaching 3.6 million tons, of which 2.8 million tons were exported (+52%). Thus, Kazakhstan is confidently increasing external supplies of traditionally significant items.

Positive dynamics are also observed in other categories: oil cargo – 5 million tons (+3.4%), ferrous metals – 1.1 million tons (+11.4%), fertilizers – 1.2 million tons (+19.6%), construction materials – 2.8 million tons (+4.6%). These data confirm the stability of KTZ cargo flow and the growing export potential of the country.
