JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy reports stable growth in rail transportation between Kazakhstan and China: in January-May 2025, the volume of freight traffic reached 14.2 million tons, which is 11% higher than the same period last year.

Exports of Kazakhstani products to China increased by 12% and amounted to 9 million tons. The main freight turnover was at Altynkol station – 6.5 million tons (an increase of 22%) and Dostyk – 7.7 million tons (an increase of 3%).

KTZ notes that the positive dynamics became possible due to effective coordination with Chinese railway administrations, as well as stable demand for export and transit in the direction of China.
