Lufthansa Cargo and Swiss WorldCargo, both part of the Lufthansa Group, announced a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing customer value and strengthening their position amid changes in the global air freight industry. Both companies will maintain their own brands while combining commercial and operational efforts.
In the coming months, the partners will begin unifying services, optimizing cargo routing, and standardizing operational processes, leveraging a single IT platform. Swiss WorldCargo will continue to specialize in high-value and time-sensitive shipments, while Lufthansa Cargo will provide access to its extensive global network and digital solutions.
Alain Chisari, CEO of Swiss WorldCargo, noted that combining the strengths of the two divisions will enable them to offer the market more flexible and efficient solutions. Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo, added that the collaboration will provide customers with access to one of the largest air freight networks and support the Lufthansa Group’s strategy to develop sustainable global logistics.
