Maersk Air Cargo (MAC) has taken delivery of the first of two new Boeing 777Fs, becoming the first Danish airline to own such an aircraft. The handover ceremony took place at Boeing headquarters in Seattle, USA. Maersk ordered two 777Fs in November 2021 as part of its fleet modernization, with the second aircraft to be delivered in the third quarter.
The introduction of the two Boeing 777Fs will significantly increase the capacity and efficiency of Maersk’s air services between China and Europe. Three weekly flights are planned, increasing to six, which will provide shorter transit times and improved cargo handling at origin and destination points. These aircraft are capable of flying up to 9,200 kilometers and carrying up to 102,000 kilograms of cargo, with temperature control on all decks.
