Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd have announced the launch of Gemini Cooperation feeder services as part of their collaboration on routes within the Far East region. The main hubs for the new routes will be the ports of Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia) and Singapore. Destinations include China, Indonesia, Taiwan and the Philippines, including routes such as CPF, JKF, SS1 and TWX.

In addition, Hapag-Lloyd is expanding its own network in the region. The German carrier is launching a new VCS (Vietnam-Cambodia-China) route and is starting to use the Nine Provinces Feeder service of CMA CGM. In addition, the VIS route will be extended to Maersk’s hub in Tanjung Pelepas, providing more cargo options.

The changes include the addition of routes connecting key ports in the region, such as Shenzhen, Sihanoukville, Ho Chi Minh City, Busan and others. The new structure of Gemini Cooperation services is aimed at improving efficiency and expanding the possibilities for cargo transportation within the region.
