Port operator Marsa Maroc has completed the implementation of the innovative heyport platform, marking a major milestone in the digital transformation of its Casablanca terminals. The solution was implemented in just 12 weeks and eliminated challenges related to manual coordination, disparate data and limited visibility of vessel calls. The system is integrated with Marsa Maroc’s TOS and the local port information system, minimizing manual input and reducing the risk of errors.
The heyport platform provides real-time data on vessel movements using satellite monitoring, weather and tide forecasts, as well as automatic synchronization of schedules from over 150 line operators. This allows for efficient resource allocation, faster vessel handling, rapid response to changes and improved collaboration between terminals, authorities and external partners.
According to Amine Boulif, head of container terminal operations at Marsa Maroc in Casablanca, the introduction of heyport was a turning point: “We can now plan with confidence, reduce vessel turnaround times, reduce emissions and provide customers with an even higher level of service.”
