The new TransFER Salzburg–Augsburg railway line, launched by ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG), connects Austria with southern Germany and creates a key connection for the entire Central and South-Eastern region of Europe.
The route includes two departures per week and provides a smooth connection between two important economic centres: Salzburg, the central hub of the Austrian railway network, and Augsburg, a major industrial and logistics centre in southern Germany. This will help to increase trade between the regions and strengthen the logistics chain in Central and South-Eastern Europe.
The new TransFER Salzburg–Augsburg route will be an important link for the development of logistics and improved transport connections in the region.
