ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) continues to expand its international TransFER network by opening new routes and increasing the number of services. The company launched a direct connection Sopron – Arad, offering 24-hour wagonload transportation with additional logistics services.
The intermodal route Genk – Curtici now operates six services per week, strengthening the transport links between Belgium and Romania. The Belgrade – Rijeka route has also been increased to three services per week to support the flow of goods between Serbia and the Croatian port.
According to RCG, the new Vienna – Duisburg service is already showing strong demand two months after its launch and complements the Budapest – Duisburg route. All these expansions are aimed at strengthening the company’s position in European rail logistics and developing regular services.
